Staff Report — Corey Mock could be returning to campus pending on the outcome of his case in court, said Chuck Cantrell, Associate Vice Chancellor. This comes after Mock’s father, UNC wrestling Coach J. D. Mock, reported on his blog Jan. 11 that Corey would be back in school.
Cantrell also stated that he was unable to comment further because “cases that are currently in litigation” cannot be discussed.
Mock was accused of the rape of Molly Morris and was taken to a Uniform Administrative Procedures Act (UAPA) hearing which resembles a criminal court hearing, Spring 2014.
Originally, Mock was ruled of making poor judgement but not violating the UTC Code of Conduct which was eventually overturned and Mock was expelled from the University by Chancellor Angle.
