Campus Activities Board (CAB) recently opened applications to fill next year’s Executive Board Positions.
The mission of the CAB is to engage and promote unity within the UTC community by sponsoring diverse campus activities. These activities are all free and events range from frequent movie screenings to the upcoming Mocs After Dark event: Karaoke Night.
Heather Delbridge, the Director of Operations of CAB, urges any student to apply that has a slight interest in a position. “Whether they have just heard about or attended a CAB event and had fun, we would love for those people to apply” said Delbridge.
She expressed the need for diverse students that have a passion for a certain position, “If [students] have a special interest in a specific position…we like to see what they can bring to the table.”
The three director positions to be filled are the Director of Operations, Director of Finance, and Director of Public Relations. Other positions include Public Relations Chair, Traditions Chair, Diversity and Awareness Chair, Mocs after Dark Chair, and the Concerts Chair.
Hailey Rapheal, current Traditions Chair, chose her position because tradition is very important to UTC and feels that keeping these traditions going is an honor.
“I encourage other students to apply for CAB because serving our campus with a group of our fellow Mocs have a lasting impact on your life. You will meet so many new people, form lots of friendships and have opportunities you could never imagine” said Rapheal.
More information about each position and applications can be found on OrgSync.com. The deadline for applications is March 11th. Prospective students who move on will be notified for interviews March 22nd-24th and decisions will be made by March 25th.
