Hayden Seay, Chattanooga, Tenn. – Even though there is a little bit of time left before the beginning of the spring semester, the holiday spirit does not have to go away with gaming.
Kingdom Hearts II – Christmas Town from The Nightmare Before Christmas
After landing on top of Yuletide Hill, you are greeted with a view of Christmas Town and its bright lights.
Once you reach the main town, Christmas trees, the carousel, giant candy canes and lights brighten up the snowy scenery.
After a quick battle, Jack Skellington points out that “Sandy Claws” lives in the really big house at the back of the town. Once inside, Santa warmly greets Sora, Goofy, Donald Duck and Jack and asks if they want to see if they made it on the “nice” list.
After finding out, you can briefly see the conveyor belts and workings of Santa’s factory.
Banjo-Kazooie – Freezeezy Peak
Rare captures the perfect Christmas setting by creating a world, complete with music that captures the excitement and joy of the season, characters and landmarks that complement the snowy environment.
An oversized snowman, complete with a metallic scarf, top hat and pipe sits at the center of the map, along with a giant Christmas tree and presents scattered around.
A polar bear named Boggy and his three children inhabit an igloo, and one of the level’s objectives asks you to find all of their lost presents.
Saints Row IV – How the Saints Saved Christmas
Imagine a world that lost its holiday spirit and will to celebrate. This DLC throws the player in a futuristic simulation where Santa is being held captive and Christmas is in trouble of being lost forever.
The warlord Santa Clawz and his evil gingerbread men, nutcrackers and tiny elves inhabit the world and try to prevent you from saving Santa and Christmas.
And there’s an awesome weapon that plays Christmas Dubstep music.
The Escapists – Santa’s Sweatshop
Between the prospects of being constantly beaten up by elfin inmates and having to obey every order the guards throw at you, Santa’s Christmas prison is a place you do not want to be.
The main goal of the DLC is to break out of Santa’s prison, but there are other things you can do while serving time. You can befriend other prisoners by completing various tasks for them, even to a point of selling contraband, become enemies and build your character’s stats, all while planning your breakout.
