Addie Whitlow, Chattanooga, Tenn. – This month’s Concert for a Cause, featuring Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum, will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 13, at the Revelry Room.

Concert for a Cause is a monthly concert series hosted by US 101 that donates a portion of its proceeds to different charity groups. This month’s concert will benefit the Hunter Worley Foundation, which strives to offer spiritual and emotional support to families who have lost a child.

For the past seven years, the concert series was known as High Noon Saloon, but they were for entertainment only. Starting last January, High Noon Saloon changed their name to Concert for a Cause and started benefiting a variety of charities.

Ashley Crost, the Promotions Director at US 101, said that she is not sure how much of the ticket sales go directly to the charity.

“However, each charity can get up $2,500 per show, so that’s really awesome,” said Crost.

Track 29 is the primary concert venue for Concert for a Cause. However, Crost said that with the new Revelry Room, which opened September 2015, the charities will be able to set up booths that are a little larger so that they can better interact with the audience.

“The charity gets not only promotion and name recognition before the show, but they also set up a small booth to let people know what they’re about and to get familiar with them,” Crost said.

Crost also said that US 101 has done several Concerts for a Cause with Saint Jude and other charities, but this will be their first with the Hunter Worley Foundation. She said that they’re really excited to host Concert for a Cause at the Revelry Room for the first time.

The Revelry Room, which is a part of Track 29, opened in September. The Revelry Room provides a very similar concert experience to that offered at Track 29, but it is an additional venue so that both Track 29 and the Revelry Room can offer even more intimate concert experiences.

Ticket prices for the Jan. 13 Concert for a Cause are $10.
