By Noah Stallings, Chattanooga, TN–World famous recording artist Andy Grammer will perform as the headliner for Moc Madness, which is sponsored by the Campus Activities Board, March 21.
Viewed as one of the biggest success stories in the industry, Grammer is well known for his vibrant rock/soul combination and vocal delivery, according to a press release. He hit it big with 2011’s “Keep Your Head Up” and “Fine By Me.”
“The Ready Set” will be the opening act.
Mocs Madness is considered CAB’s spring concert event; this is the inaugural year.
For Bria Woods, the large concerts chairperson for CAB said she hopes to make this a yearly occurrence. “We are excited to finally provide what many UTC students have been asking about for years,” “We are hoping to create a similar tradition as our friends at many other colleges and universities.’”
James Anderson, a freshman from Chattanooga, said, “I’m glad we get to see some great bands here [in] Chattanooga.” The concert will be held Friday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m. Preshow tickets can be purchased online for $10 for students, $15 for faculty, staff and alumni, and $20 for the general public, all three include fees.
To save money, students can order tickets online before the day of the show and ticket prices increase. Tickets have been on sale since the start of February.
